The Prada brand was founded in Milan, Italy in 1913 by Mario Prada and his brother Martino. In an interesting twist, Mario believed that women had no place in business. Since his son had no interest in the business, it was his daughter Luisa who ran his company for almost 20 years. Her daughter, Miuccia, joined the company in 1970 and took over from her mother in 1978. The Prada label is known and respected the world over.

Today Prada makes shoes for both women and men. Women’s styles include booties, boots, sandals, espadrilles, flats, sneakers, drivers, lace-ups, loafers, mules and pumps. Men can choose from boots, patent leather sneakers, mesh sneakers, loafers, running shoes, Wing-Tips, Derby’s, boots and more.
